Foreign ministers from the Group of Seven democracies and three key allies expressed serious concern on Tuesday over the deployment of North Korean troops to Russia and the potential use of these forces in the war against Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that , citing Reuters, “The DPRK’s (North Korea) direct support for Russia’s aggressive actions in Ukraine, in addition to Russia’s desperate attempts to make up for its losses, would represent a dangerous escalation of the conflict,” the ministers said in a statement.

The statement, signed by the United States, Japan, Italy, Britain, Germany, France, and Canada, along with South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, condemned the growing military cooperation between North Korea and Russia.

The ministers strongly condemned Russia's "illegal procurement" of North Korean ballistic missiles and expressed deep concern about the potential transfer of nuclear or missile technology to North Korea. They pledged to work with international partners to coordinate a response to this development.
