France's largest unions have announced plans to hold a nationwide strike in early December.

Axar.az informs that "Le Figaro" newspaper published information about this.

It is noted that the organizations called on the employees of the public sector not to go to work on December 5.

They are reportedly unhappy with the government's plans to cut public sector funding in 2025, as well as a number of measures, notably the reduction of social security benefits for temporary incapacity due to illness.

The French mass media also reminds that representatives of the country's agricultural sector plan to hold demonstrations on November 18, and employees of the SNCF railway company plan to hold a strike on November 21.
