"Agarak" border crossing point between Armenia and Iran was closed by Armenian TIR drivers.

Axar.az reports with reference to the Armenian media that the truck drivers were angry at the decision by the Iranian authorities to sharply increase the price of diesel fuel they had to buy when returning to Armenia.

According to current regulations, Armenian heavy trucks enter Iran with empty tanks and must return full.

Dissatisfaction is also related to the fact that border control cards are issued only in Persian without translation into Armenian.
