Senior members of Hamas’s abroad leadership left Qatar last week for Turkiye, after Doha said it was walking away from efforts to mediate an end to the war in Gaza.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by Times of Israel, citing an unnamed Arab diplomat.

The source noted that many leaders of the movement had been spending significant time in Turkiye, as their families lived there.

Financial Times also reported that Qatar, under pressure from the United States, had asked the Hamas leadership to leave the country. This request was made due to Hamas's repeated rejection of mediators' proposals to free Israeli hostages during the ceasefire negotiations.
