Attempts by NATO countries to assist Ukrainian forces in striking deep into Russian territory will not go unpunished.

Axar.az reports that this statement was made by the Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergey Naryshkin.

"The decree by President Vladimir Putin on amendments to the Basic Principles of State Policy on Nuclear Deterrence of the Russian Federation' has been met with caution by the West. "They understand that the adjustments announced by Putin largely devalue the efforts of the US and Nato to inflict a strategic defeat on our country, and the planned expansion of the list of grounds for the use of nuclear weapons effectively excludes the possibility of victory over the Russian armed forces on the battlefield," Naryshkin stated.
