NATO has stated that reaching a consensus on inviting Ukraine to join the alliance could take several months.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Reuters.

"It will take weeks and months to get consensus," a senior NATO diplomat said on Monday. "I don't see that happening tomorrow, I would be very surprised."

It is reported that a meeting of NATO foreign ministers from member countries will take place in Brussels on December 3-4. The Ukrainian delegation is expected to raise the issue of NATO membership during the meeting on December 3.
