Turkiye and U.S. to discuss joint plans for Middle East

Turkiye will hold negotiations with the U.S. regarding the Middle East and develop joint plans.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkiye's "Ekonomim" newspaper, that this was stated in an article about recent events in Syria.

"Donald Trump had said that the main forces behind the recent events in Syria, which brought the armed opposition to power, were Turkiye and its President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In turn, President Erdogan emphasized that after Trump assumed office, he hoped for negotiations on Syria, considering them essential for the region. Until yesterday, Turkiye had been acting simultaneously with several countries in the region, considering balance. Now, it seems that plans or calculations have emerged with the U.S. Undoubtedly, there will be certain discussions or negotiations. While some processes may be obstructed, the foundation for joint action will not be broken," the newspaper stated.

The newspaper believes that negotiations with the U.S. will help maintain the current government in Turkiye.
