Two IDF reservists, Yuri Eliasfov and Georgi Andreyev, were arrested for allegedly spying for Iran in exchange for money.
Axar.az, citing Times of Israel, reports that Eliasfov, 21, who served in the Iron Dome unit, passed sensitive information, including a video of the missile defense system, to an Iranian handler. He recruited Andreyev, 21, who later withdrew from the scheme due to fear of legal consequences. Prosecutors have charged the pair with serious security offenses, and their detention has been extended.
Eliasfov reportedly contacted the Iranian agent seeking financial gain, receiving $2,500, while Andreyev was paid $50. Authorities have warned against collaborating with foreign operatives, as Iran's intelligence efforts to recruit Israelis have increased.
