Ukraine will raise the issue of liberating the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant during its first meeting with Russia.

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this.

Zelenskyy said that since the very beginning of the Russian occupation of the plant, Ukraine has held numerous meetings with the IAEA to drive out Russian armed troops from the station. However, negotiations with the Russian side failed despite the global security risks the situation has posed.

"Let's do everything possible to ensure that our personnel work there under IAEA supervision and that there are no Russian militants—especially armed individuals," Zelensky said.
