Syria attaches importance to transforming relations with Turkiye into a deep strategic partnership.

Axar.az reports that the President of the Syrian interim government, Ahmed al-Sharaa, stated this during a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Erdogan in Ankara.

He noted that the Syrian people will never forget Turkiye's contributions to the country in recent years.

"We highly appreciate President Erdogan's efforts and desire to make the transition process in Syria successful," he said.
