Former NATO chief appointed as Norway's finance minister

Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has been appointed as the Finance Minister of Norway.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by the Norwegian NRK television channel.

It was noted that his appointment has been approved by the Norwegian government.

For reference, Jens Stoltenberg served as the State Secretary of Norway's Ministry of the Environment in 1990. In 2000, he became the youngest prime minister in Norway’s history (41 years old). In 2014, he was appointed Secretary General of NATO. He left his post on October 1st last year, and was succeeded by former Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
