I am not offended that U.S. President Donald Trump called me a "dictator."

Axar.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement during a press conference at the "Ukraine 2025" forum.

He noted that he has no time for emotions:

"That’s why I take a pragmatic approach to our relations with the current administration, and I will continue to do so. Of course, I wouldn’t call President Trump’s words a compliment, to say the least. But why should I be offended? A dictator would be the one to take offense at being called a 'dictator.' We will somehow manage with the U.S."

Zelensky emphasized that he was elected legally:

"I did not come to power by force. 73% of voters elected me."
