Donald Trump does not trust the United Kingdom, despite it being considered a strategic ally of the United States for many years.
Axar.az reports that political analyst Elkhan Shahinoglu made this statement.
He noted that Elon Musk, Trump’s close ally, made offensive remarks about British Prime Minister Keir Starmer:
“The American billionaire accused Starmer of various crimes, ranging from interfering in the U.S. presidential elections and sending agents to Washington for this purpose to participating in the mass rapes of Asian migrants. Declaring that ‘Starmer must be prosecuted,’ Musk stated that the British Prime Minister should resign. Furthermore, Musk openly supports Nigel Farage, the leader of the radical right-wing ‘Reform UK’ party, and has not hidden his intention to fund the party. Although Farage once played a key role in the UK’s exit from the European Union, he does not hold significant influence in the country. Nevertheless, Musk sees no issue in interfering in another country’s internal affairs, insulting its leader, or financing a political party abroad, violating legal boundaries. Similarly, Musk has meddled in Germany’s internal affairs by supporting the far-right ‘Alternative for Germany’ party.
Keir Starmer is hesitant to respond harshly to the accusations coming from Washington, likely fearing that doing so could hasten the breakdown of the U.S.-UK alliance. However, the issue is that this alliance no longer seems to concern Trump and his close circle. While Trump has issued ultimatum-like demands to the Ukrainian president, Starmer has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Kyiv and increased political, military, and financial support for Volodymyr Zelensky to continue the fight against Russia. It is clear that Starmer’s policy does not sit well with Trump. Based on this, Trump plans to break another tradition by making his first foreign visit not to the UK but to Saudi Arabia. This decision is influenced by Saudi Arabia’s agreement to purchase $450 billion worth of goods from the U.S.”
