The EU Foreign Ministers have approved the 16th sanctions package against Russia.

According to the information, the sanctions list includes 48 individuals and 35 legal entities.
53 companies, including those from India, Kazakhstan, China, the UAE, Singapore, Turkiye, and Uzbekistan, allegedly for "assisting Russia in the conflict against Ukraine" have been sanctioned.
Restrictions have been applied to 74 vessels supposedly part of Russia's "shadow fleet."
The EU has also set criteria for imposing sanctions on owners of such vessels and entities supporting or benefiting from Russia's defense industry.
Several Russian media outlets, including Eurasia Daily, News Front, SouthFront, RuBaltic.ru, Lenta.ru, the TV channel "Zvezda," and the Strategic Culture Foundation, have been banned from broadcasting in Europe.

The EU has introduced new restrictions on the supply of software, equipment, and technologies for oil and gas extraction. The restrictions also apply to the provision of temporary storage for Russian oil and petroleum products within the EU.
European businesses have been prohibited from conducting transactions with certain Russian ports and airports, which are allegedly "used for the transfer of unmanned aerial vehicles, missiles, and related technologies and components, as well as for circumventing the price cap on oil or other restrictive measures."
