I am pleased to announce that we have just apprehended the top terrorist responsible for that atrocity, and he is right now on his way here to face the swift sword of American justice.
Axar.az reports that a suspected senior planner in the suicide bombing at the Kabul airport that killed 13 American service members during the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan has been taken into custody and is being brought to the United States to face charges, President Donald Trump announced during his address to Congress.
Notably, Pakistani security forces arrested Mohammad Sharifullah, accused of responsibility for a 2021 attack on U.S. troops, in a counter-terrorism operation along the border with neighbouring Afghanistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday.
“The wanted terrorist was apprehended in a successful operation conducted in the Pakistan-Afghan border region,” Sharif said in a statement, adding that Sharifullah was a top commander for Islamic State Khorasan and an Afghan citizen.
