Our noble and beautiful mothers have made an indelible contribution to the worthy preservation of our centuries-old cultural and spiritual wealth to this day. They have left an indelible mark in the annals of our country's struggle with their strong will, patriotism, and selflessness.

Axar.az reports that these thoughts were included in President Ilham Aliyev's congratulatory message to Azerbaijani women on the occasion of March 8 - International Women's Day.

The head of state also noted, "The fact that Azerbaijani women gained the right to vote and be elected earlier than women in several leading countries of the world is one of the significant facts of our modern history. The fact that they took the first steps among women of the Muslim East in the most diverse areas of culture, science, education, and healthcare is the result of their high creative potential. It is commendable that our modern young women respect these traditions, properly protect the principle of the spiritual succession of generations, and successfully continue the path of their enlightened, intellectual predecessors.

Over the past period, our women, who have closely participated in the process of national state building and worked diligently in all areas, have demonstrated full and effective activity for the sake of increasing the power of our Motherland and the welfare of our people, and have achieved significant achievements in socio-economic and cultural development.

Stating that our women, who demonstrate deep devotion to our sacred family values, have great influence in the public life of our country, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized: "I am sure that they will continue to spare no effort to raise the younger generation in the spirit of devotion to the Motherland and national ideals, and will also enrich our socio-spiritual environment with new contributions."
