The US Supreme Court has rejected the Trump administration's request to freeze billions of dollars in foreign aid approved by Congress.

Axar.az reports that the decision requires the Trump administration to comply with the court's order and provide nearly $2 billion in foreign aid to nonprofit aid groups for completed work.

The court did not specify the timing of the funding, which would allow the White House to challenge the issue in lower courts. The decision was made by a vote of 5 to 4.
