As we reported earlier, Ekrem Imamoglu, the mayor of Istanbul, has been detained.

Axar.az reports that according to a statement from the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, Imamoglu is under two separate investigations. One probe involves allegations of "aiding a terrorist organization," while the other includes charges of "forming and leading a criminal organization," "bribery," and "aggravated fraud."

It is worth noting that Istanbul University revoked Imamoglu's diploma on March 18 due to "absence" and "clear error." This morning, as reported, Imamoglu was detained.
