Putin proposes UN interim admin in Ukraine

The possibility of introducing an interim administration in Ukraine under the auspices of the UN can be discussed together with the US, European countries, and Russia's partners.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to him, this would allow for democratic elections to be held and a government capable of functioning normally to come to power.

"Since there are no presidential elections in Ukraine, civilian power is currently illegitimate," Putin stressed.

The head of state also said that the strategic initiative along the entire front line is completely in the hands of Russian troops.

"Russian troops have liberated 99% of Luhansk and more than 70% of the Donetsk region and are advancing," Putin added.
