Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has proposed to the US President's special representative, Steve Witkoff, an interim agreement on Tehran's nuclear program.

Axar.az reports citing the Axios portal.

During consultations in Rome, Araqchi noted that the parties will not be able to reach a final agreement on the nuclear program within the 60 days proposed by US President Donald Trump.

The minister told the special representative that it would be very difficult to conclude the negotiations within two months, given the detailed technical specifications of a possible agreement.

Witkoff, however, said that he did not want to discuss an interim agreement at this time.
