Turkish and Israeli fighter jets came face to face in Syrian airspace.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Turkiye’s Sözcü newspaper.

On May 2, Israel carried out large-scale airstrikes against Syria. Among the targets hit were bases belonging to the “Sultan Murad” and “Suleyman Shah” groups, which are supported by Turkiye.

In response, Turkish F-16 fighter jets entered Syrian airspace and sent warning signals to the Israeli warplanes using electronic warfare systems.

Both sides withdrew without incident.
