Demiral becomes first Turkish player to make AFC history

Turkish national team footballer Merih Demiral has achieved a major milestone with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli club.

Axar.az informs that the 27-year-old defender has made history as the first Turkish player to win the AFC Champions League.

Demiral played the full 90 minutes in the final match against Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale. The game ended with a 2–0 victory for Al-Ahli.

It’s worth noting that Merih Demiral previously won the Italian league title, the national cup, and the Super Cup with Juventus.
