Iran has unveiled a new solid-fueled ballistic missile, the Qassem Basir, with a range of 1,200 km and advanced capabilities to evade anti-ballistic defense systems, according to state TV.

Axar.az reports that Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh warned that Iran would strike U.S. and Israeli targets if attacked, while denying links to a recent Houthi missile strike on Israel.

The announcement comes amid heightened tensions, suspended nuclear talks with the U.S., and renewed threats from President Trump over Iran's nuclear program.

The missile test and rhetoric mark a significant escalation in regional instability.
