Azerbaijani wrestler Mohammad Abdullazadeh has been banned for 48 months for violating anti-doping rules.

Axar.az informs this was reported by the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA).

It was stated that the violation was due to the presence of a prohibited substance, its metabolites, or markers in the athlete's analysis.

The wrestler was penalized for using or attempting to use a banned substance or method. Meldonium, a substance from the "S4 Hormones and Metabolic Modulators" category, was detected in his sample.

The sanction against M. Abdullazadeh is effective from March 15 of last year, and the ban will end on March 15, 2028.
