Tensions are rising between French President Emmanuel Macron and Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Le Parisien, citing sources.

During a recent government meeting, Macron openly questioned Retailleau harshly about the criminal situation in the south of the country. The confrontation was reportedly triggered by an article Retailleau wrote for Valeurs Actuelles, in which he stated that “Macronism will end with Macron” and accused the president of political hypocrisy.

In the article, Retailleau criticized Macron’s political approach, arguing that his attempt to merge left- and right-wing agendas has only led to governmental paralysis.
