A French court has canceled the arrest warrant for former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Axar.az reports that this was reported by the head of the French court, Christophe Sular.

He said that since Bashar al-Assad is not the president, it is possible to continue the judicial investigation against him.

It should be noted that in 2013, France issued the first international warrant for the arrest of Bashar al-Assad, accusing him of involvement in a chemical attack.
