“Iran may sell oil to Azerbaijan and purchase gas instead of it”, former Iranian Oil Ministry senior official Mahmoud Khagani said.

According to him, Iran is interested in exchange of energy carriers: “Conduction of exchange with the neighbour countries is very important. Iran may sell to Azerbaijan and purchase gas instead of it. Iranian Energy Ministry is holding meetings on energy exchange with Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia. Iran is ready for energy exchange for energy security. Energy is a locomotive of economic development and sustainability”, Khagani noted.
