"There will be not next devaluation"

Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic, Elman Rustamov commented on the reports about the devaluation on the eve of Novruz holiday.

E.Rustamov said that the rumors about this are groundless: “You can see that in recent years the Azerbaijani manat strengthens against foreign currencies. On the other hand, the state budget was revised because of oil prices. Also, we observe that in the recent, however oil price is not high, but remains stable. The country's foreign trade balance is going towards the development of the situation".

After the transition to "Floating exchange rate" the problem is not observed in the course of the manat. All these give reason to say that there is no basis for what is said about the devaluation ".
