Monkeypox cases surge in this country

In Burundi, 171 cases of infection with the monkeypox virus have been registered.

According to information, the first cases of infection with monkeypox in Burundi were registered in July. Currently, the number of suspected monkeypox cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo alone exceeds 15,000. Other cases have also been reported in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Nigeria, Niger and South Africa.
