The 16th Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair Exhibition (AITF 2017) opened in Baku April 5.

APA reports, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva viewed the exhibition.

The exhibition, which was organized by Iteca Caspian, is being attended by 272 companies from 20 countries.

17 national and regional stands have been opened in the exhibition. Among the participants are countries representing Azerbaijan, Italy, Switzerland and other countries. Belarus, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Georgia, Morocco and Thailand joined the exhibition with national, Slovenia and Stavropol province – with the regional stands.

For the first time, Columbia and Cuba are demonstrating their tourism opportunities in the exhibition. Foreign debutants include UK, Italian and Chinese companies.

Along with the AITF exhibition, the 11th Caucasus International Hospitality Exhibition HOREX Caucasus 2017 is being held from 6th to 8th April at Baku Expo Center.
