On January 20, the bust was set up in Akalkalaki, Georgia dedicated to Mikhail Avakian, who was directly involved in the occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh and the murder of the Azerbaijanis.

Due to the information that was given by Foreign Ministry spokesman Leyla Abdullayeva, under the instruction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Azerbaijani ambassador to Georgia immediately discussed this issue with the representative of Georgian Foreign Ministry.

The Azerbaijani side also expressed its protest to the Georgian embassy in Azerbaijan.

L.Abdullayeva stressed that the problem is under the control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
