Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has expressed condolences to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The letter of condolence reads:

His Excellency Mr.Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation

Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich,

I was deeply saddened by the news of loss of lives as a result of an explosion in Severnaya coal mine in the city of Vorkuta .

On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I extend deepest condolences to bereaved families, loved ones of those, and wish the injured swiftest possible recovery.
