Fariz Huseynli, the press secretary of the State Service for the Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, who made a statement on the issue, said that currently the exploration work in the area called "station Sumgayit", where the caves were discovered, was carried out by the State Service for the Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture. The service is continued by the Shabran Regional Office.

He noted that according to the information obtained by our employees, the remains of the caravanserai existed in the area along with the caves.

In general, there is a need to conduct comprehensive research in that area.

It is planned to visit the area with archaeologists soon.
