On February 27, the parliamentary delegation led by the chairman of the Mexico-Azerbaijani inter-parliamentary friendship group of the Mexican Parliament's Chamber of Deputies, Alberto Viyya Viyegas, who is on an official visit to our country, visited the city of Shusha.

Axar.az was told by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis that during the visit, the guests will learn about the history of Shusha, the situation during the occupation and the construction works carried out in Shusha today under the direct supervision of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, as well as the restoration of historical monuments in the city.

As part of the visit, the guests got acquainted with Yukhari Govhar Aga, Lower Govhar Aga mosques and other monuments, visited Shusha's Castle walls, and the City Square. They were informed about the shooting of the statues of prominent cultural figures of Azerbaijan, Khurshidbanu Nateva, Bulbul, and Uzeyir Hajibeyli, by Armenians during the occupation of Shahar Square.

Then the guests visited Cıdır plain. It was reported that today Cıdır plain has become a place where great events are held, as it was before the occupation.
