All cultural monuments and tombstones were destroyed in Khojaly, where Armenians committed the most atrocities.
Axar.az reports with that graves in Khojaly cemetery have been made unrecognizable.
The tombstones were destroyed, the inscriptions on them were deliberately erased so that their identities could not be determined. Residents of Khojaly, who were looking for the graves of their relatives in the cemetery, were able to identify only a few graves.
Residents said that there were many graves in the cemetery. Many graves are completely unmarked.
Soon, Martyrs' Alley will be built in the reserved area near that cemetery.
It should be noted that on March 31, 7 martyrs of Khojaly were buried in that area.
Those who were buried are those killed during the Khojaly genocide. The remains of their corpses were discovered a few days ago in a mass grave in Khojaly.
