TRNC election results should not be accepted

A very small number of citizens participated in the presidential election in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The fate of the Turkish Cypriot people cannot be represented by this result.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the leader of Turkiye’s Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Devlet Bahçeli, while commenting on the results of the TRNC presidential election.

He said that the TRNC parliament must convene urgently:

“The election results should not be accepted, and a decision should be made regarding unification with Turkiye.”

It should be noted that in the presidential election held in Cyprus, the chairman of the Republican Turkish Party, Tufan Erhürman, won.
