Thank God, this year our work will be more successful. Football is such a game that you can’t achieve success every year. Perhaps this year we are seeing the fruits of the efforts we made in previous years.
Axar.az reports that Qarabağ head coach Qurban Qurbanov stated this.
According to him, the success of the Qarabağ team resonating in Europe and Turkiye motivates the club’s members. The head coach, who has been leading Qarabağ for 17 years, also emphasized that he does not intend to leave the club.
“This is my second home—perhaps even my first—because I spend more time here. But anything can happen in the future. At the moment, I have no plans to move to a bigger club,” he said.
It should be noted that Qarabağ currently ranks sixth in the UEFA Champions League group stage standings. In the second round, the “Horsemen” defeated Denmark’s Copenhagen team (2:0) in Baku after beating Portugal’s Benfica 3:2 in the first round.
