Azerbaijan–Armenia peace would boost regional development

Turkiye hopes that a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be signed soon.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Turkiye's Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan during a briefing on the results of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

According to Fidan, the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan, Turkiye, and Armenia has economic benefits:

“The role of our region in the implementation of the Middle Corridor is extremely important. Stability in the South Caucasus is crucial for the security of this corridor. The Zangezur corridor is a very important route for Turkiye. We are also working on this issue with the European Union. After a peace agreement is signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia, all countries in the region will develop. We are very close to this.”
