Bekir Bozdag steps down as deputy speaker

Bekir Bozdag has resigned as deputy speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye (TBMM), citing health problems.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that Bozdag has already submitted his resignation to the office of the parliamentary speaker.

The AK Party’s parliamentary group will elect a new deputy speaker to replace him.

It should be noted that Bozdag is also an AK Party lawmaker representing Sanliurfa.
