Belarus experts join construction in Aghdam

Belarusian specialists are closely involved in the design and construction of a modern agro-town in the village of Khan Garvand in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko during the official opening ceremony of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku.

Emphasizing that sustainable development is impossible without peace, Sergeyenko cited the infrastructure partnership between Belarus and Azerbaijan as a regional example of such cooperation.

“On the initiative of the leaders of the two countries, Belarusian specialists are actively participating in the design and construction of a modern agro-town in the village of Khan Garvand in the Aghdam district,” he said.

The Belarusian official noted that the joint project will directly contribute to improving living conditions for many Azerbaijanis returning to the region.
