Minister said that within the official visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Iran in February 2016 "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Labor, Social and Labor Welfare of the Islamic Republic of Iran" was signed. This document is based on cooperation in the relevant fields and it is expedient to further expand these ties in the future.

At the second meeting held in Baku in April 2013, the Ministers of Labor of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states unanimously supported President Ilham Aliyev's proposal to establish an Employment Center at ECO headquarters in Baku.
