Iranian airspace is open to Azerbaijani aircraft.

Axar.az reports that the statement came from Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh.

He said that Iran had conveyed its concerns to Azerbaijan on some issues and that Baku had promised to resolve them.

Khatibzadeh said that the main principle of Iran's relations with Azerbaijan is brotherly behaviour.

It should be noted that a few days ago, Iran closed the airspace for military transport planes flying from Baku to Nakhchivan. In response, AZAL refused to use Iranian airspace on civil flights and used Armenian airspace.
