Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev made his speech on December 21 before the match between Aghdam's "Garabagh" and Baku's "MOIK" in the round of 16 finals of the Azerbaijan Football Cup at the Khankendi Stadium.

"The foundation of this village was laid by the Khan of Karabagh, and after that, a big city was created by Azerbaijani architects and builders at the expense of the Republic of Azerbaijan," the head of state said.
