During the limited-format meeting of the CIS, there was a substantive discussion between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding the prompt resolution of the conflict in the South Caucasus."

Axar.az reports that CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev stated this in a press conference.

"I emphasize this particularly: All heads of state expressed their wishes for a quick agreement.

It is encouraging that the leaders of both countries provided quite optimistic forecasts that a peace treaty would not take long to be realized. Of course, no one disclosed anything specific: You understand, all this work is difficult. But at the meeting, everyone expressed hope that the peace process would be concluded in the near future," Lebedev said.
