Turkiye's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, has firmly stated that the transport corridor through Armenia and Iran will soon be opened. He emphasized that it is only a matter of time.

Axar.az reports that this was noted by political analyst Elkhan Shahinoglu.

He mentioned that given the events in the Middle East, including the increasing likelihood of war between Israel and Iran, the Middle Corridor passing through Iran seems unlikely:

"If a war breaks out, transporting goods through Iran will become risky. The hope remains for the opening of the Zangezur corridor. In his recent statement, Nikol Pashinyan hinted that he agreed to the control of the corridor by the Russian military in accordance with the tripartite statement of November 9 (10), 2020. Official Baku does not oppose the corridor being under Russian control. Ankara also has not issued a statement against Russian soldiers controlling the corridor. Ankara is open to any scenario, as long as the Middle Corridor becomes operational and goods from China can be delivered to Turkiye in a short period."
