During an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, General-Colonel Zakir Hasanov, met with Kyrgyz Republic's Minister of Defense, General-Lieutenant Baktybek Bekbolotov.

The official welcoming ceremony at the Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyz Republic included both defense ministers passing along the honor guard. The national anthems of both countries were played, accompanied by a military band.

During the meeting, the development prospects of cooperation in military, military-technical, and military education fields were discussed, along with a wide exchange of views on regional security and several issues of mutual interest.

At the end of the meeting, a "Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2025" between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic was signed.
