As we reported, President Ilham Aliyev traveled to Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation, on October 23 to participate in the XVI BRICS Summit in the "Outreach"/"BRICS+" format at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin.

Axar.az reports that President Aliyev received a warm and special welcome from Rustam Minnikhanov, the head of Tatarstan.

President Aliyev was treated to a traditional Tatar dish called "Chek-cheke" (a food made from dough and honey, typical of Turkic peoples, especially used by Bashkirs, Tatars, and Kazakhs).
