The European Union continues to fully support the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that these words were said by the European Commissioner for Employment and Social Rights, Nicholas Schmitt, at today's session of the European Parliament.

He noted that COP29 is also a historic opportunity for peace:

"Azerbaijan and Armenia have never been so close to resolving the decades-long conflict. The conference will be a historic chance for Azerbaijan and Armenia to demonstrate their commitment to peace and sign a peace agreement. As the European Union, we continue our full support for the normalization process and stand ready to mobilize the necessary resources to ensure that all parties benefit from lasting and lasting peace."
