India and China have reached an agreement on patrolling arrangements aimed at reducing tensions along their disputed Himalayan border, as stated by India’s top diplomat.

Axar.az reports that, citing BBC, Vikram Misri announced on Monday that both sides have consented to “disengagement and resolution of issues in these areas that emerged in 2020.

”He was referencing the clashes in Galwan Valley, where casualties were reported on both sides, marking the first deadly confrontation since 1975.

Relations between the two neighboring countries have been tense ever since.
