Speaker of National Assembly of Tanzania arrives in Baku

Speaker of the National Assembly of the United Republic of Tanzania, Tulia Ackson, arrived in Azerbaijan on November 15 to participate in the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

Axar.az reports that the guest was welcomed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by Azerbaijani MP Amina Agazadeh and other officials.

It is noted that within the framework of COP29, a Parliamentary Meeting will be held in Baku on November 16-17, organized jointly by the Inter-Parliamentary Union and Milli Majlis. The event is expected to host 92 delegations from 66 countries and international organizations, with around 330 participants, including 12 speakers and vice-speakers and 167 parliament members.
